Fair means even playing field. These dudes are used to a system that they can cheat.
I pay taxes. These people spend copious amounts to avoid paying.
There is an economic threshold of money spent vs money not taxed. They spend within that threshold, but the money helps only them.

> Then, in a change of direction, he used the Ferranti Mark I to pioneer computer-assisted mathematical biology—studying morphogenesis, the emergence of pattern and structure in living tissue. Turing was in the midst of this groundbreaking exploration when, in 1954, he suddenly died.
“Suddenly died” meaning he was punished for his homosexuality, chemically castrated, and committed suicide within months.
British society killed Turing.

So ridiculous that folks will spend millions personally to avoid paying their fair share in taxes.
Is the alternative really that bad Sergey? You would be paying a similar amount, and the money would actually go to some use, as opposed to being blown on a political fight.

> Humans leave their traces everywhere so why this principle for mountains?
It’s called conservation. It is why we have these places to climb in the first place. These are protected wild places.

I am of the belief that we should leave a place better than we find it.
When litter is in my path, I remove it. To do otherwise would go against this fundamental principle.
Natural places should be protected from the widespread exploitation by humans. We are destroying the entire planet. Why can’t we protect the places we have long agreed should be protected? Enough with the anthropocentric BS already. We are a part of the world, not separate.

The mountain should have never been bolted in the first place.
The debate that it is an established route and thus should be left up comes from a place of entitlement.
If you can’t climb the mountain, what are you even doing there? There are plenty of mountains in the area that can be climbed instead.
Same can be said about the Dawn Wall of El Cap. Harding should have never bolted it. Removing his bolt ladder was the ethical move by Robbins.

The small models are getting really impressive.
I recently realized that Qwen3.5:4B is way more capable than I thought a model that size could be.
Combine that with the work Liquid puts into RL and fine tuning, and you get models that perform extremely well on minimal hardware.
Combine that with your own fine tuning, and you get a specialized tool that is fast, private, and doesn’t require internet connection.

Hard disagree.
Pi has optimizations as well, and development is quite active.
We are literally months into this new frontier. Mainstream harnesses are not far off from a minimal + extensible open alternative.
You don’t have to build your own plugins, as you can simply install an existing plugin that does what the mainstream harnesses do. Folks are already making the same functionality, but with more control to the user.
If you are a builder, like many reading this thread, pi is the way to go. Pi already gives you the tools to leverage LLMs to assist with building plugins, if that’s the way you want to go.

Many reasons, and it depends on who you’re talking to.
I use LLMs for coding, as well as a few other minor things.
I do not like the corporate AI garbage slop being forced on an unwilling population.
I do not like the widespread anthropomorphism of AI.
I do not like the idea of fucking everything up with slop and hoping future models will clean up our messes.
I do not like hypercapitalists buying up land, water, electricity rights, while shitting on everyone else and the planet.
It is a complex and diverse topic. It is also very new to most people. Of course there is diversity of opinions.
