I am at a major company that is essentially vibe coding. I’ve shipped about 100k LoC this entire half and am toward top 10% of my team. I find it likely that either
A. The code is absolute garbage and is speed for speed sake
B. They’re using an internal model that is a generation beyond GPT 5.5
I say this because we’ve attempted to do something similar using the latest gen Claude models and a significantly larger team. The code is probably along the lines of millions LoC but is an absolute mess because of vibing. There’s a price you pay for speed

This is a knocking down a strawman, it’s not supposed to provide a good understanding of UBI but rather scare you that you’re going to be lonely, lazy, and helpless on it. A more nuanced article would provide counterpoints, however this is just promoting the authors opinion

Absolutely. 3:1 is only common ant absolute top tier daycares. More likely you’ll have 6:1 or 8:1. And even high quality daycares might not help children potty train which is absolutely essential if both parents are working but people want to potty train early. By age 3 kids are moving towards preschool and are more intelligent and have better self awareness and are more reward motivated. I think diaper conspiracy is honestly less likely here than structural advantages and modern life leading to later potty training

Having experience inside Metas culture, it is extremely metrics driven, sometimes without regard to side effects of optimizing a primary goal. So if someone was measuring their job performance on optimizing site-links then it’s very likely this could be happening.

China has already recognized that computer manufacturing is a national security concern for them. So they will continue investing in Huawei regardless of whether Nvidia sells to them or not. Huang knows this pretty well and just wants to sell to China while Nvidia is still in a prime market leader position. It makes sense from his angle to say “sanctions are useless” and “were going to be caught by China anyways, so might as well make a buck while we can.”

The amount of pro-Russia apologia on this thread is pretty incredible. There are a number of salient points raised in this article discussing how details of the original article are implausible. However instead of addressing any of these points or inconsistencies directly, people simply say this rebuttal is "non-credible." I had expected more from this readership.

Likely a defensive acquisition for Microsoft. Facebook would probably be rejected from the deal for anti-trust reasons so it basically comes down to Google and Amazon that could acquire. So its probably Microsoft denying either of these companies the opportunity to improve their own social network brand while finding a way to pose future competition to Facebook.
