This is a detorquer, or maybe a torquer, not a thruster in the strict sense. It changes the attitude of the spacecraft by interacting with the earth's magnetic field. It doesn't _move_ it.

OK. Ever since I found out about Cockney Rhyming Slang I've been a little paranoid.

"Valiant Thor" was a name used by a probable con artist pretending to be an alien back in the 60's or something. Or maybe an actual alien. Maybe an alien con artist. Anyway, I think the world needs more operating system experiments.

Well, when antimalarial drugs are suddenly limited in distribution because it might be usable against an engineered bioweapon... it means transmission is increased.

If HCQ went from being an over-the-counter medicine in a malaria zone like Vietnam to a more limited distribution, this is one of the things one would expect to happen.

He's probably not lucid enough to even know _why_ he granted a nice shiny federal pardon to the guy who funded Federal Grant No. R01AI110964 through the NIH to Ecohealth Alliance for research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. But the rest of you seem to be equally OK with ignoring why that happened, so I dunno. Maybe I'll take you seriously about Iran as a result?

I don't know. Maybe he'd attack Russian proxies in the middle east, that have killed large numbers of their citizens during recent protests, like Iran.

It's an interesting paper, but I think the design decisions made here were less intentional than they seemed. The hardware producers were not making these decisions. They had CRT's and not modern LED's and made lemonade. And we were a lot younger in 1988.

If this is the Tom's Hardware article on the leak... notable by their absence are some of the countries using the Chinese hardware and software for censoring their citizens, including Iran, Cuba, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Russia, and Belarus.
