This isn't true, you can pay for GLM 5.3 from a provider like Neuralwatt or Friendli who have no incentive to subsidize or loss-lead their inference APIs

I'm a former Bandcamp dev and current anarchist and have made an open source event ticket sales platform called Chobble Tickets which runs on Deno edge script hosts like Bunny CDN so is very affordable and simple to self host ($1/month ish)

There are lots of open source ticket sales options but none fit the criteria of:

- Full copyleft license - No branding requirements - Connect your own domain - Very easy to host

Chobble Tickets addresses those. Chobble, my business, is a Community Interest Company - a legal structure in the UK which obliges me to adhere to a mission statement and comes with an "asset lock" which means the things Chobble owns cannot be sold, except to another CIC. This, plus AGPLv3, means it is impossible for me to "sell out" and enshittify my products. As a former Bandcamper, I'm somewhat sensitive to this.

I'm about six months into development now, hosting about 50 sites (I charge £5 per month for hosting), with a few thousand bookings processed

I've been writing software for about 20 years, previously a senior dev at Bandcamp, and have made successful booking systems before. Chobble CIC is my new freelance Community Interest Company which builds software for the greater good. Chobble Tickets is one example of that - a ticket sales webapp with no per-attendee fees, just a flat hosting fee of £50 per year, or you can host it yourself.

Attendee data is encrypted, and many aspects of the system can be customised or plugged into with APIs, webhooks, or editable templates.

I have been wary of submitting it to HN because of imposters syndrome, but the system has processed over a thousand tickets now without any disasters, and feedback has been really positive.
