What you have to do is use group policy to manage your firewall (secpol.msc) and tell it to ignore local firewall rules.

You would be surprised how wrong this statement is.

Especially if you are a gamer, almost any platform can max out a Gbit connection easily.

Besides at those speeds you start seeing all kinds of issues (like OpenVPN implementation being very inefficient).

Also with these "deals" you often also have to ask yourself:

Are you buying it because it is cheap or are you buying it because you need it? Often people buy stuff they don't need because it is on sale "right now."

It depends on what you want to protect. It is obviously great if you use a lot of public wifi for example.

It's also great if your government is spying on you.

Otherwise you just delegate the privacy issues from your ISP to the ISP of your output server.

Personally, there is no reason to run a VPN all time from your home connection.

You only need root if you want to run it as a kernel module. Otherwise it will just run in userspace.

A lot of the moderators in Reddit are powerhungry or are marketing shills. Since it satisfies their needs I don't think they mind it being not paid.

For long hauls I'd always recommend to upgrade to Premium Economy. It's not quite first class, but it's much better than regular economy imho.

I think if the next iPhone will have USB-C, I will switch over from Android.

The general app quality on iOS seems to be much better than Android.

How so? An OLED will always have better blacks than an LCD screen, which leads to better contrast, which leads to better picture quality (perceived at least).
