Funny, I did EECS at Berkeley nearly a decade ago and also still have the occasional nightmare about forgetting to finish something, but remembering at the last minute. Something something about evolution rewarding anxiety and neuroticism.

Honestly, who the hell cares what Facebook has to say about this? I genuinely don't understand how these random tech executives end up feeling an obligation to push out statements like these.

Is there any other explanation than these people having massively overblown feelings of self importance? I'm genuinely stumped.

maybe you're the moron in not realizing that people can have values other than yours. maybe some prioritize their values to their financial security. maybe this guy is already financially independent. there's more to life than working a prestigious job -- if you don't have values and the spine to live your life true to them, what's the point?
