Risking the ire of the Teslerati ( or Musk-eteers) I dare say that Tesla was only profitable while it could sell carbon credits, hence it no longer is. In addition, he didn't invent reusable rockets. His technicians did.

I beg to differ. This may well hold for hired CEOs etc. But what about founder CEOs? Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos? Their companies are doing quite well despite their traits.
