If we didn’t have Kernel Anti Cheat in Windows, it would be a godsend for Linux gaming.

It’s literally the only issue missing (and some games not available under Xbox game app but I mean it’s Microsoft as publisher so no intention for Linux version)

Absolutely, but also you need to make sure you take on the strategical work of your manager and not the typical day 2 day stuff at operational/expected level, you need to do stuff above your waist line.

I liked the article and it’s right, but at the end of the day you also need to make sure your manager puts you up for promotion and that he is allowed by their management as well.

Honestly, it' crazy how limited the iPad still is in this day and age. I was hoping for them to add a terminal and improve the files app.

But I already gave up on it especially after the recent comments from Apple as they want people to buy both devices to 'complement' each other: https://www.macrumors.com/2024/05/13/apple-vp-mac-ipad-compl...

I own an M1 iPad Pro but 80% of the time I use it as a sidecar due to how limited it is.

I use the iPad Pro with a keyboard and Remote Desktop to my Mac or my server at home.

Works good enough...

They gotta keep working on the software side of things like drivers, FSR and more.

AMD is so far behind on this.

In the other hand though, their 3D Cache chips are amazing

Poly Headset for video conferences! Quite happy with them. I also use my iPhone as the camera for my setup.

The M1 and M1 Pro chips are absolutely insane. Been using them ever since day 1 and for me there is no way to go back to using Arch Linux natively unless Qualcomm or someone else starts making some good ARM chips.

Apple Silicon is amazing, but the new Software Updates ever since 2020 have been going down hill.

I like boring macOS versions, where we just fix bugs and don't put new unnecessary features that nobody wants.

Have you tried using Stage Manager? It's a joke. Why would I want to hide my apps that are on the side of each of other to give highlight to one of them?

Do you guys even do some serious work where you need a terminal and a document guide by the side?

Well personally for me, since I went full remote I went down to the south of Spain and bought a house.

Not planning to go back to a major city unless remote work takes a full shift back to office.

Main reason I went from the 16" Intel to the M1 Pro, dual displays is a must for me when I'm docked at home.

Looks like the EU version of Framework! Funny enough they do give a Ryzen option which is pretty cool.

Would love to go back to a PC running Linux but for the time being macOS + Brew on MacBook Air/14" is the way to go due to the battery life and performance.

Oh and my 14" as a heck of a screen.

Been using KeePassXC and syncing on iCloud / OneDrive and has been working quite well.

Using the Apple Silicon version on the MBP14" works great!
