Doesn't libel require to be deliberate? Ie you can't sue for libel if the author admits a mistake and corrects it?

And conveniently, by making your machine non upgradeable, it allows the manufacturer to enforce market segmentation / charge a huge premium for small RAM upgrade (a la Apple)

Looking at peak wind isn't particularly helpful I'm afraid. The problem is what happens when there is no wind, like in early May (https://gridwatch.co.uk/). Having more wind capacity isn't helping. Batteries are for smoothing minutes/hours not days. Solar obviously only a few hours a day and weak at this latitude.

Right now the UK makes up the volatility of its heavy reliance on wind with LNG. So this isn't exactly a hedge against gas shortage.

These stocks crashing (not saying it will or won’t happen), means AI is crashing, and that will be a much broader selloff than these 3. Add Microsoft, Micron, Amazon, Oracle, Nvidia, Supermicro, Dell, etc, any company that has direct or indirect exposure to the massive AI boom (and possibly their lenders).

Only had a brief look at the “facts” that were made to check, many are quite political, where two fact checking organisation of opposite political persuasion would probably disagree more often than 67%.

But that means going back to "80% profit margin" Jensen and further digging your capex hole. The benefits would have to pay not only for current capex but also past capex.

But by then, I will be able to go one line down in my dropdown menu to switch to a newer LLM provider who doesn't have to amortize those past capex.

Latin was still part of the mandatory curriculum in french schools, at least when I was there. Didn’t make french kids bilingual (no more than english courses), but it would be safe to assume the average man in the street has at least some vague notions of latin.

Agree. But I asked a couple questions about a year ago and got zero response. It's not just people asking questions who deserted SO, it is also people answering them (probably a chicken and egg problem - reversal of network effects).

The gvt won't have much of a leg to stand on until open ai actually turns a profit, until then how are taxpayers cheated? And by then it will be a taxable for profit corporation anyway.
