This is just completely false. There are multiple countries capable of killing their own by those numbers. All of them are equally disgusting, and should all be held accountable.

How many changes to production systems does Cloudflare make throughout a day? Are they a part of any change management process? That would be the first place I would check after a random outage, recent changes.

Correlation does not equal causation my friend.

Plenty of people were able to talk about lab leak conspiracies. That is why we are still debating it today.

Because that is a bold claim to make. There is no proof of a lab leak and evidence leads to the wet market as the source. There is a debate out there for 100k to prove this. Check it out.

I can definitely understand that. I just have a hard time justifying the value of learning this way at scale. Just the energy costs alone are out of hand.

I just can't get over how gleeful the author sounds in wasting compute on "an often unreasonable amount of work to search the internet and figure out an answer."

Is that the goal? Send this thing off on a wild goose chase, and hope it comes back with the right answer no matter the cost?

Its interesting that you did not quote any of my reply while accusing me of "willfully misrepresenting or twisting what others are saying into something slightly different". The goal was for me to make sure I understood what you are communicating.

It seems we agree. The internet was much more available 15 years again in 2010 than it was prior. Since then, unlimited opportunity has opened to research each perspective, and even share those with people across the world.

At no point in this thread have a resorted to name calling, I hope your day is better.

Are you suggesting that if you are from the US, you are unable to form an opinion of the facts that are presented from both sides?

I did have to go to school some time ago, but I also gained access to the internet during that time that allows anyone to research both sides of a topic. There are tons of books available that provide descriptions from both sides.

Why do I have to be on one side or the other? Is it because of my push back against a specific side, you assumed I aligned with the other?

Co-location is still readily available. Which service and reliability improvements are you looking for that competent sys admins couldn't provide with multiple co-lo's? Not everyone made the cloud jump.

While I completely understand the slippery slope concept, we ban all kinds of things for under 18s based on morals. Why couldn't these be any different? How else does a society decide as a whole what they are for or against. Obviously, there should be limits.
