Buy any laptop with following specs - 1. 32GB RAM (stock) + Extra slot with >= 32GB support (higher freq. = better perf.) 2. SSD 1TB 3. AMD Ryzen CPU (6x2 or 8x2 threads) 4. Nvidia RTX series GPU with atleast 8GB VRAM (not sure if 12GB VRAM comes with any laptop).

Quantized LLMs upto 8b parameters can be easily run on above specs. Quantized models are getting better and better. I use them for code suggestion and code gen.

This is so sad. Such incident indeed confirms technology is pursuing people into forgetting real meaning and values of life. I am worried about the generation which has born in this gamification era. They need to be repeatedly taught about life meaning and values to differentiate between what's real and what's imaginary.

I like the idea. With this, I can do something like - a Golang IDE container for go projects, a Javascript IDE container for frontend projects and so on.

I am feeling like this era of frontend javascript is too much focused on tooling and frameworks that developers spend most of their time dealing with complexities associated with them rather than focusing on creating something meaningful and useful.

Chrome does not protect from web tracking whereas edge has strong web tracking protection.

One use case would be to integrate it blog sites for adding blog content (with markdown). But I don't know whether it supports this integration or not.
