i'm not sure i would call this a "big government initiative." this is pretty cheap, obvious stuff.
you might pull an off-the-shelf component library for a demo app or even a startup, but the value of building in-house/from-scratch in government, especially military, cannot be understated. the web ui ecosystem is rife with security risks and accessibility footguns.
it looks fine to me. it's a design system, not rocket science.

i only skimmed the home page, but it seems far too opinionated for general use. if you're starting fresh and plan to use tremor as your all-encompassing ui kit, it seems fine. but at that point, why not grafana, retool, or some other no-to-low-code dashboard solution?

seems good for low-interactivity sites, especially if everyone is generally looking at the same content. i'd consider it for my company's front-of-site, sales sites, blogs, that sort of thing. i certainly wouldn't write discord, vscode, or even a simple no-code tool with it.

>Is military capable AI in the hands of few militaries safer than in the hands of many?
Yes. It is. I'm sure hostile, authoritarian states that are willing to wage war with the world like Russia and North Korea will eventually get their hands on military-grade AI. But the free world should always strive to be two steps ahead.
Even having ubiquitous semi-automatic rifles is a huge problem in America. I'm sure Cliven Bundy or Patriot Front would do everything they can to close the gap with intelligent/autonomous weapons, or even just autonomous bots hacking America's infrastructure. If everything is freely available, what would be stopping them?

i see it going two ways:
1. they do skeumorphic design in a way where comes out as a giant touchscreen with a bunch of static buttons like you see with physical interfaces on a car
2. very deep menus. e.g., a dozen taps to switch from radio to bluetooth
in either case, it'll have a 15hz frame rate and 800ms of lag between input and response. i expect nothing better.
meanwhile, if we had a full-on apple car, it would probably have a 120hz truemotion display, well-calibrated spatial audio, and a fully-utilized M2 Max chip
i was bearish on the idea of an apple car years ago, but now with tesla withering, i'm practically begging for it
