Love that you are calling a tablet what it really is: a computer.

Now for a crazy question: does the Daylight Computer support an external full color display via a usb-c dock? Color when you need it… epaper when you don’t.

We have a fleet of several hundred Macs, most are M1/2 at this point. I heard reports of several Macs coming in for support that booted to a black screen after Sonoma's .0 landed. So many that the JAMF team blocked Sonoma until the .1 landed.

Definitely shoddy QA on Apple's part. Also, your sample size is too small. Everyone works differently and it takes a certain set of settings/workflows to trigger this compatibility issue.

Does your employer offer a cell phone stipend program? Many times, employers will pay to "use" a portion of your cell plan, basically allowing them to require apps like MFA on personal devices. (or require on call access to employees)

Why would you want this? One of the thing I love about EVs are the single speed transmissions. The drive is smooth and lack of noise peaceful. Why would you want shift-jerk and emulated RPM variations in a technology that doesn't need it?

What you are looking for is "Curtain Mode."

Some VNC clients support this feature. ARD is one, Screens is another I'm familiar with.

Curtain mode keeps the remote system's display and keyboard locked and uncontrollable, and thus secured.

The issue is that if you do not set permissions in the manifest, clicking allow in the safari UI would only return a blank URI, "". The original extension in this case would also just return an error.

I've modified the manifest so that it is asking Safari for wider permissions, so that when the permission is granted by the user, the proper URL is returned.

The extension is open source, I'm open to new ideas on how to improve this further. The current Edge/Firefox extensions just error out, and this was not acceptable for this version of the extension per the AppStore rules.

Apple has some SSL export restrictions I've yet to successfully navigate. Will have this fixed in the next version.

This should be the expected behavior when pressing the button on a new Safari tab. Otherwise, should redirect to the URL your current open tab is displaying.

Yeah, there should be two redirects. The first is searching for the URL you entered, the second should either newly cache the page, or load the cached page. Same behavior as firefox.

Finally published my first anything on the Apple AppStore by porting the Archive.Today extension to Safari. Works on iPad, iPhone, and Mac.

I was tired of copying and pasting when I wanted to use the Archive service on HN articles, so here you go!
