Cursive is optimized for fountain pens I believe. As long as we have pencils and ballpoint pens, using cursive is just a holdover from olden times with no actual pros compared to simpler writing methods

I do wonder is cursive really that hard to read without any lessons? It’s still English just with a awkward font. Writing cursive has a lot of rules but I would think most GenZers could read the constitution albeit slowly

I mined for a few weeks out of curiosity and I figured it would work as a heater downstairs since it was winter. I would think that the best move was to sell your GPU about a month before it all ends since the actual mining doesn’t make enough money to offset the resale value plummet.

It’s also dumb since I’ve had that title for almost 10 years now but I’m easily 3-5x better at my job than when I initially got it. I do get paid more which is nice and work at a better company. I still mainly like to code and system design so I’m not planning on becoming a professional meeting-goer.

There’s a baseline of material that can be quite high before you get diminishing returns. Moving to a nicer neighborhood or a bigger place instead of having a 3 person household in a studio apartment where you get stabbed on your way in etc. Eating healthy and well made food instead of cheap hot dogs and macaroni every night.. being able to get a level of medical care that puts your mind at ease and prevents long term issues. Having the financial freedom to take extended time off your work and go somewhere enjoyable.
These all have very real effects on your stress, well-being and happiness in the short and long term.

I believe some driving sims support extra wide field of view so that you see the sides of the car interior. I’ve seen that with a multi monitor “curved” set up but I’m not sure if a true curved monitor is curved enough for that illusion. Mine is pretty subtle, maybe 15-20 degrees total

That would be my main worry that it starts splintering off too much. Maybe they’ll merge or kill off some of the storylines. The hobbit and the elf outpost seem like plot devices that might go away to keep it a bit more focused.

I seriously missed some weird angry mob. I watched the first two episodes yesterday out of curiosity and it was the most compelling TV show I’ve seen in years. I’ve read the books a long time ago and enjoy fantasy. I thought this was a great start for a fantasy series.
