> These are audited and regulated by the federal government!
Under the current and thankfully last (Trump) administration who wants to make a quick buck and grift from crypto coins.
I can only hope that a future (hopefully democrat) government comes in unwinds all these crypto policies since it only promotes grifting.

I still don't buy this.
This still doesn't answer the many other unstablecoins in existence offered to unsuspecting retail customers, USDT, USDC, GUSD, USDG, OUSD, USDS, USDD, USDGO, TUSD and the myriad of other confusing unaudited, risky and pointless coins.
Why do we need so many stablecoins?
I am willing to bet that at least one or two of them will completely depeg in less than 5 years.

This doesn't make any sense.
What happens when this thing depegs like UST and all the other unstablecoins?
This doesn't look like it is backed by anything other than a few companies.
We don't need all these unstablecoins or crypto scam coins.
We need something like FedNow or CBDCs that are completely safe, made by banks, regulated has chargeback protection and protects consumers.

As an employer this article isn't convincing to me.
I don't need a graduate that has "new ideas" my two senior engineers are way more productive and deliver a better ROI than hiring graduates and interns.
While my competitors are hiring senior engineers, I and many other startups competing in the market cannot afford to train junior engineers while losing market share to rivals.
If need someone to hire, I need them to get up to speed and adding value right now from when they finished navigating the codebase.
Other than that I leave the seniors alone. I cannot leave juniors alone, we cannot afford to slow down.

Agreed.
Most of the startups are just wrappers around AWS and significantly more expensive.
Agents need sandboxes that are cheaper so that they can run thousands
I feel that AWS, GCP and all the other cloud providers can provide this natively.
But still it would be nice to self host.
The best part of self hosting is that you own it as well, no rug pulls from the laundry list of reselling providers that could go away at anytime.
It would be nice to have a one click sandbox agent on a self hosted instance that is, free, fast (can pay a bit more for more intensive operations) and that is open source.

Not finding work since I own a business but do employ two highly senior engineers.
Each time in an interview for new candidates, I ask how did you find this opportunity?
The best ones I hired said they found it through referrals from someone I know. I verified their work and experience by asking a friends of mine, and it certainly increased the likelihood I would hire them.
Obviously we still have to give them a take home challenge, but at the first stage, referrals helpfully filter out the time wasters, inexperienced candidates and AI resumes.
I think referrals and your network will matter a lot more since AI is being used heavily on both sides, the candidate and recruiter side, neither benefiting any side.

There is are loads.
They do not apply on the job application as they know of the AI screener will just filter them out.
It is no wonder why HR and businesses cry "Hiring is hard" and in reality, the talented people are:
+ Making their own startups / businesses.
+ Joined a much more attractive company and they don't bother go through the process.
+ Networks their way through other people.
+ They are fed up of the interview process and they check out of the job market altogether.
Also lastly, these people do not want to talk to HR, it wastes their time and creates friction.

A different perspective:
It is amazing that now everyone that previously could not code now can build their own tools or projects they have ever wanted.
This democratization is a net good for people who want to build their own thing but just couldn't get started.
I don't see what the issue is here, you can make anything you've ever wanted faster than ever.
Understood if you're one of those "I love the journey" type of people who love it for the sake of building things and open source.
But some of us just want to get something out of our heads and built without months of back and forth with a developer.
Truly exciting times.
