It is slow and costs about the same to charge as petrol, there is no infrastructure, way more expensive, value degrades more compared a simple (and clean, euro 6) diesel or petrol engine here. If I had a house with solar panels on the roof (thank you govt subsidiaries), maaaybe. I can buy a few years old compact car for 6-10k euros and use it for years with none of the infrastructure cost or battery degradation.
