It looks like, after Microsoft discontinued WordPad, they want to implement more features into Notepad. If you want simple plain text editor you have to use msedit[1].
[1]https://github.com/microsoft/edit

I think the best phones are made by Sony. If you want stereo speakers, SD slot, headphone jack and high end performance, it's hard to find other models than these manufactured by Sony.

I agree that changing default icons is sometimes confusing. The user have hard times finding an app. Especially apps like Geany, Firefox and VLC get so weird icons in some themes that you can't visually confirm that this is the correct app.
I also agree that if you make an app screenshot/tutorial it is better to use the default theme unless you are targeting users for specific distro.
However I see some flaws in Adwaita (the default GTK theme) and a lot other themes regarding the titlebars:
1. They are too tall for no obvious reason.
2. the most irritating thing is that it is very hard to tell the active window. I mean it is a bit lighter but that's all.

LOL! I didn't know this about US-International. I was always wondering why the hell I need to type two quotes and then delete the second just to enter a single one. Obviously " and space does the job, but I didn't thought about this, so I switched to US layout :)
Now I've tested with your layout and it turns out that you can type it as you say by just omitting the space (except for the letters that can be accented) or otherwise just use my method by entering ' twice and deleting the second one (maybe at the expense of greater error rate).

With PHP, unlike other languages, you have not two but three options - you can either run it as a web server module (That's your "templating" opinion and the most common use of PHP), you can run it trough the Common Gateway Interface (where even in Python or Ruby print DOES outputs to the HTTP) and in the end you can roll out your own HTTP server. In the last option, just like the common use of Python and Ruby, you have full control of what's going on with your code and you decide what to send over the socket and what (if anything) to print on the console.

I had almost the same problem and just hit the brake and pulled the car out of the road. Then I turned the engine off and saw that the plastic end of the cable is blocking the wire. I just removed it. No danger at all. It could be deadly if you have weak breaks and can't remember which pedal is the clutch :D
