I can second Dbmate.
The process of a sql migration management is pretty simple and like other comments it's not hard to write something yourself which works well I just prefer to use something a little more battle tested in the deployment process.
Also it's a go app so you don't need to pull down a stupid amount of dependencies for it to work just pull from it's github release and mark it as executable.

The War on Drugs is considered a failure and in parts of the world like NSW, Australia made prostituion legal in 1979 in both cases because criminalising things most people use generally doesn't work and all you do is randomly jail people for doing the exact same thing as a large proportion of the population.

The issue is these days everytime I hear optional I think of semicolons in JavaScript where they are optional except for one or two edge cases I can't remember off the top of my head. Optional is good as long as its a complete you can do it this way or that way like gradual typing in some languages.

From the younger demographic (22) most of the people in this area I know have simply growen up with ads on the internet and know to just ignore them even if they do not use a ad blocker that may be a issue for you. On Facebook at least from what I read there is a larger demographic to target (ala parents trying to keep track of their teenagers) who may not be used to filtering out ads so that may account for the better conversion rate.
