<p>Obvious question: why wasn’t this done earlier? It looks like all the data was already available. At THAT scale, reducing memory usage is a must-have, not a nice-to-have. Weird.</p>

<p>I'm looking for a high-quality solution for translating food recipes and/or menu content into 30–50 languages.<p>Accuracy and natural wording matter much more than the cost. However, be able to run it locally is a huge win.<p>I have tried https://ollama.com/library/translategemma but the results were awful for Slavic languages.<p>Thanks in advance!</p>
