when government’s aren’t wealthy and investing heavily in the public private individuals are and that’s where inequality starts. the only way out of this is with enough taxation to level the playing field for the common man and to provide the government with the resources to lift the welfare of it’s citizens

as someone who was failed by psychiatry and tried all regular medications AI helped me find an off label treatment for my mood disorder that has had a profoundly life changing experience for me. what they’ll be doing is removing experiences and stories like this where gaps in knowledge allowed psychiatry to fail and AI helped me the find the cutting edge of research to get the treatment i needed desperately!

i don’t feel like immutable distros are ready for prime time because there are still some really big limitations with flatpaks that will take time to resolve. using a secondary drive on steam is still painful and works inconsistently. 1password can’t talk to firefox to unlock it. applications like steam can’t share rpc status with discord

this is why i have a problem with flatpacks. i’ve tried using an immutable distro with flatpacks and it’s made me want to disable every flatpack security measure because it’s even harsher and less usable than macos’s sandboxing. i don’t know what their goal is but it’s definitely not usable if i can’t connect 1password to my browser or i struggle to get steam to access another drive

i’m all for it. maybe not everyone with autism struggles with existential dread over the persitent social isolation they feel from struggling to navigate social interactions but i would certainly trade that part of myself in a heartbeat. it’s just not worth it to feel like i do day in and day out. there’s no one looking out for me and the only emotional support is a professional and i can’t afford that anymore because i’m now out of work and struggling to get back in because of my autism

sign me up as well. if i can take a drug to have a better life i’d gladly pay whatever it costs. it sucks to feel as socially isolated as i do. might even improve my job prospects since so many of my rejections seem to be from my neurodivergence not meeting their high standards

As someone who has seen shit code shoveled into the fire repeatedly, this is precisely the reasoning. Make money faster is the only reason a company needs to throw quality out the window. Even though accumulating tech debt like that will likely slow them down.
