an invader mosiac is not graffiti, it's street art, which is more or less the mortal enemy of graff. I'm not even trolling when I say people with attitudes like yours are what legit motivate so many graff writers out there.

the sheer lack of knowledge of the graff scene on HN isn't surprising in any way but wow there are so many idiotic hot takes in this thread hahaha. I've been writing graff for over 20 years - it's something the average civilian mind could never comprehend. Graffiti has existed almost since the beginning of civilization; it's primal, it's raw. Doing graff is one of the most human activities one could partake in. It's also one of the most pure art forms to be conceived. All of that is true and most graff writers are horribly toxic and terrible humans (most but certainly not all).

Once again, they’re severely discounting socialization over the internet. Twitch, discord, et al account for massive amounts of socialization. For many kids it’s easier to chat or stream than it is to find the other 2-3 weird kids into their particular hobby. Watch the TV documentary “Social Studies” if you think Gen Z isn’t partying. “Euphoria” is definitely an exaggeration but it’s relatable to Gen Z for a reason. Anecdotally, I see Genz all the time at raves and concerts. These aren’t “animal house” style events but still.

+1 for Atlassian. One of my close mates is a US FTE for 10 years and he's always trying to recruit me, specifically on the merits of work-life balance. Surely varies from team to team but their Team Anywhere (fully remote, all positions) is very appealing.

It was published by Viking Press in 1979 and reissued by Penguin Books in 1995. Most of the essays in the book had first appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine. It is Thomas's second collection of short essays after Lives of a Cell.[1]
The title essay is about the relationship between Nudibranch sea slug and the medusa of a jellyfish that inhabit the Bay of Naples. It explores how the relationship between the two creatures can be seen as illustrating the impossibility of understanding the notion of the self.[2]

Is it banana bread?
Is it based on the number of ingredients? Is it based on a preparation method?
This is the core problem with just about every article or study on UPFs
