Yeah, I feel similar. As an avid hiker/runner they have been a ton of fun to use. I got the transition lenses. I use them for listening to music/pods while running or wherever really as well as taking videos and pics. Only downside so far is in winter use where the battery dies VERY quickly.

Some of the people they are talking to here have just done 3 month courses. They are competing against people who have 4+ year degrees and people with more experience. They are going to have to build up their resumes with smaller things whether its a project of their own or small jobs for other people.

As a business that depends on ads we just have to write custom stuff to detect the blockers and ask them to turn it off. Those with resources will get around it, those who don't will have their stuff blocked.

Honestly, as a publisher, I can tell you this is exactly the intent. Its already like you aren't there. Saying you aren't coming back certainly doesn't hurt the publisher. You are only going to continue to see more of this. Its inevitable or a large portion of the content you view will no longer exist. This adblock idea sounds cute but its unlikely to work and certainly can't sustain the content thats out there. Unless someone comes up with something truly innovative, its going to be a war vs the adblockers. Frankly I think people are too dramatic about ads. Sure if you click on those Facebook linkbait articles they are littered with dozens of ads. Is 4 second delay to view Forbes content really that disastrous? (I say Forbes because it somehow become the punching bag for complaints).

I had a project manager we were interviewing decline a 2nd interview because he read some reviews on glassdoor that indicated he might have to work hard. Just the idea that there was a chance he might have to put in time on a night or weekend scared him off. Now granted this was the culture years ago and maybe in other groups but he didnt even bother to ask about it just took the reviews from ex bitter employees (does anyone else but bitter people leave feedback on that site?) as gospel. I guess its better he took himself out of the running. He has also been unemployed for several months.

Quick Review:
The shoes hurt on pavement to start but after logging 25 miles total or so it didn't really bother me anymore. They are great for running in grass and other uneven terrain where you might lose your balance with regular shoes.
I find they hurt when running on gravel(nickel sized rocks hurt!) more than anything so I try to avoid that but it might be something your feet adjust to with more mileage. I started at 2 miles and have worked my way up to 8 at a time. When switching back to the KSO's after doing a run in regular shoes the day before you feel very light on your feet because they weigh so little. The most pain for me is that im getting blisters in a couple of places I havent before but I expect that to not be a problem once my feet adjust accordingly. Also make sure you get socks if you are going to do running..you dont need them for regular use but you will want them for long distance running.
EDIT: The KSO's are probably the shoes you want to get if you want to do longer distance running vs the classic (Based on numerous other reviews I read when trying choosing a model).

Well if you know that you won't pay your balance on time or that you would spend more money then its not the thing for you. Frankly credit cards for me are also a nice convenience. They save me the time of going to the ATM, paying for my purchases and tracking what I'm spending my money on. It also eliminates all that loose change I always lose or accumulate in a big jar. For my start-up business it makes giving my accountant my expenses a much easier task as well.

I would say everything on this list rings very true. One thing I wish I had done sooner is to take advantage of rewards on credit cards. These days you can buy almost anything with a credit card so you might as well get something in return for it. You have to do your homework but several with give cash back, free hotel rooms, free flights etc. These perks can add up over time and save you some money. Additionally using services like Mint to track your various accounts will help you see where you spend most your money and give you a big picture of your total networth in one spot

Lets see I can use Rails and build something or I can spend my time building something like Rails from scratch. Not a tough choice. The top ten percent probably don't reinvent the wheel when they don't have to. Do you write all your own libraries too? Maybe your situation doesn't fit the mold but your claims about efficiency and programming prowess are a bit absurd.
