Because the fact that it is a tech gadget makes me more likely to write stuff down instead of believing I can remember everything. That’s about it , at least for my use case

It’s only a problem for Facebook if they get prosecuted, so far it’s a problem problem for Facebook users(a very bad one to be clear). I’d love to believe they will be dragged in front of a court, but it’s unclear to me what could be charged , unless they are knowingly involved.

I’m French, this is definitely not an urban legend, for some unknown reason « wrongly » spoken French sounds especially grating to me and all the other French people I know. We might not say it to your face , but it is extremely hard to ignore.
I wonder if it’s the same with other Latin languages, or if it is just some consequence of years of forced standardisation of the French accent.

For StarCraft 2 the best historical players are all child prodigies , same for Formula 1 , all recent World Champions are child prodigies

Yes , this is fundamentally an incomplete view , Japan index peaked in 1989 before peaking in again this year, if you bought at the peak it would have taken you 35 years to recover your money.
Past performance is not indicative of future performance

Medium to some extent and large format can produce some exceptional image quality (Sharpness, details and contrast). Cliché at this point but Ansel Adams work still look very modern today.
They where however slow, heavy ,difficult to work with and extremely expensive so most people stuck to small format when they became available .
In fact I would bet that most pictures taken before small format took over look better technically than after it took over

Slightly unrelated but is there any way of maintaining that low of a temperature (77k and 10k according to the paper numbers) that does not immediately kill perf/w and perf/$ ?
Otherwise might as well just buy more cpu

No?
I’m sorry as much as I would like this to be true luxury watches are a sign of external wealth / conversation pieces for the wealthy (5/100M range I would guess)
Might not be the case for the tech wealthy crowd as I know these circles less
But for the traditional/family/business wealthy crowd watches are an easy icebreaker, especially if you mention you don’t care about the price and you like them for x other reasons
