your videos and links re: nuts services are very cool. Is that something you're working on with others? What's the best way to keep on top of that?

I suppose the repo is more telling than the video and shows some of the work put into it. The 'bit' he does in the video is jarring to me and makes me think of your typical crypto bro/AI bro/someone who may not know the inner workings of things, but the repo shows that isn't the case. I personally am not a fan of behavior like that for engagement/likes sake.

The video that skipped to the actual content was neat, but the author saying "they don't know what they're doing" is very evident by the time you get to the end of the video watching them fumble to find architecture-specific MIPS binaries. Good grief.

Given the structure and size of the organization, I can. For every 2 or more folks that lose a job on the U.S side, they may hire one person, or none. And, as I understand it, with the disparity in exchange rates and currency and such, Canadians are getting shafted financially and make anywhere from .25 to .50 less compared to U.S. talent. They are being pushed (forced?) to RTO for no reason beyond 'real estate has to go up/we invested in TD tower'.

I'm surprised there's many comments here, and so many folks even still who haven't heard of Mesh. And no real comments on them as an organization.
Mesh topology like this is cool, and the concept is cool. Meshtastic as an organization with one of their leadership being a lawyer and being very litiguous to protect their naming scheme, not so much. They go after so many projects, ideas and other things that say they are 'Meshtastic' powered. There's a whole discord of them. It is disheartening and very jarring. They want to use the moniker of M-Powered or M-PWRD which has no identity or meaning.
https://meshtastic.org/docs/legal/licensing-and-trademark/

I'm curious as to why there isn't more political discussion on HN just due to the nature of the high intelligence and mind-swell here. Does this community not care and realize the harm that follows from the current regime in power? Or are people too heavily invested in this Yarvin character and want the world to very much be a Cyberpunk 2077/The Division landscape? Crazy.

Regardless of how people feel about any of the personality frameworks and how well they describe human behavior, reasoning and makeup of the person -- it can be proven to be highly valuable in a day and age where people make judgements or seek to categorize and group people gauging how well they get along with those people. I am generally not a fan of labels, but, especially in our technology based field, as an INTP, I know to see other INTPs who process the world similarly to how I do. That's been difficult to calculate how useful that is to me and others. This also comes up in dating sometimes -- if you can discern that someone is a compatible type, it can be helpful.
The same poo-pooing comes up of Astrology. Now, I'm not one to go around saying that I'm a Rainbow Farting Horse Rising -- I only go as far as 'Aquarius', 'Scorpio', etc. But in that realm, there's a fantastic book called Sextrology that can give insights on partner compatibility in the bedroom and related realms. The authors, much like Meyers Briggs have interacted with an untold amount of couples. Unfortunately book has no 'edition' moniker, just a 'revised' notation so it's hard to tell how many times it's published, but it is a fascinating and great reference to get a quick read on someone and what their needs and desires may be. I've utilized it with several partners with positive and solid results.
If you're skeptical or unsure of any of these frameworks, I recommend giving them a more serious visit or consideration. Especially with something like MBTI, reading books of the time that are hidden classics that people aren't aware of (e.g. "Please Understand Me I and II") are very illuminating despite people's disdain for the MBTI as it currently sits.

It's the first time I've heard of that NUMMI factory and it's ... kind of ironic. Because, pretty sure we taught Japan/Toyota/others all there was to know about Quality re: TQM and TPS ... and now companies are partnering with them to get back some of that lost luster? That's... hilarious. Maybe we need to be obliterated and build all over from Ground Zero like they did.
