Before the 2024 Carbon Pollution Standards, the federal limits were much weaker—and for existing power plants, there was effectively no operative federal CO₂ limit at all.

It'd be interesting if you put some of the bible in there and published any continuity errors. Would be great press, regardless.

I built this to solve my personal pain point.

Currently the best solutions are wordpress blogs where people manually aggregate this information. But human-run blogs can't possibly find every event, they don't know what my child's interests are or what's near my home, so my wife & I would spend hours just learning what we can do with our child.

Scout is totally different. Our Agents intelligently crawl the web and find everything in a specific geographic region. We're staring with Seattle, where I live.

Scout event has an "inclusivity" filter which lets you find events that are sensory friendly, ASL/assistive listening/captioning, LGBTQ+ & trans affirming, wheelchair accessible, etc.

My favorite feature is the daily email with a curated list of events for you. This week I've gone to 2 events based on those emails alone.

did we feel uneasy that a new generation of builders didn't have to solve equations by hand because a calculator could do them?

i'm not sure it's the same analogy but in some ways it holds.

this resonates with me. i've spent so much time configuring neovim in the terminal (kitty) and i've never had everything work 100% of the time. simple things just like seeing an entire typescript error are challenging to get working. those errors just continue on one line outside of the screen.

with LLM's the tradeoff tipped in the favor of cursor with the neovim extension.

so i switched to cursor last week from neovim in the terminal and this is how i feel. but, i'm not going to invest more time to check out Zed now that i just got cursor set up the way i like it.

but it's great to see all the progress in IDE's lately.

this approach is broadly applicable to lots of domains just like FFMpeg. very very cool to see things moving in this direction.

expo has solved the native dependencies issue, and it's a fantastic way to build an app.

this is one of the few hills i'm willing to die on. expo is great for the RN community.
