<p>Your last paragraph rang so true. Webpack will tell you that you are missing a dependency and ask you to include it or remove it. I feel useEffect is a fine api. It’s not the apis fault if I shot myself in the foot with it.</p>

<p>I think a better analogy would be if someone looked through your window and saw something that shouldn’t be out in plain sight, called you to hide it, and then you prosecute them because they looked into your house.</p>

<p>I’m really conflicted on this issue. On one end you have a provider that has an end to end solution and has spent a lot of resources providing a quality product, but on the other hand there are solutions that the end user can solve without intervention of the copyright holder. This article provides a great argument but it’s still a hard one.</p>

<p>In the United States you need to have generally 2 licenses. One is for the audio and another is to show you playing the song.<p>This may be different though if the work the creator is showing is considered transformative enough to be considered a new work altogether. It could be considered educational in nature instead of violating the copyright.</p>
