Why don't you just say: I know nothing about football ( and I dont care much), please enlighten me?

- Football is not a game of easy scoring, often you have to build momentum, by relentlessly putting pressure on the other team. It's more important than in other sports, because in football a weaker team can easily earn a draw against a stronger team if the later fails to do just that.

Your attacks ( and defense efforts) must compound. It's almost like building a narrative inside the head of the players and inside the head of the spectators before a goal gives everyone a release one way or the other. Moreso than in other sports where you have a lot of scoring happening. Football is closer to watching an epic drama.

Now it's true that dynamics can change on a dime. But you often have to earn that change ( like by having a skilled player who attracts fouls ). Having regular breaks makes it almost like watching another sport.

- In most of Europe and South America even people who don't watch regular league games have an intuitive expectation of how a game should be played. And they care.

Especially when it comes to national teams because it's often a big part of the national lore. ( It's like the offside rule. Even people who despise the game end up being experts )

That conclusion come from unknowingly defining monotheism as a religious tradition that is close or can be related to the israelite tradition. It's tautological.

In reality many human societies throughout the ages have been monotheists.

It's way worse than that. First, We interact with LLMs through private conversation and we are used to have private conversation with human we trust. Some of that trust will be transfered to LLMs. Second, LLMs have a vastly bigger "mental" power to build a long term mental model of us, while we interact with them. Which mean they can chose with extreme precision their words to trigger an emotion, a certain reaction.

Combine the two and the potential for manipulation, suggestion, preference altering is through the roof.

I find it weird those analysis that forget the obvious Brazil moment. It provided the coordination needed to execute the exodus.

The momentary Banning of twitter in Brazil, provided the impetus for a large amount of normal people there to look for a close alternative. And BlueSky is a more normie friendly.

Now a simple network analysis will show you that a lot of "tech-normie" people, but heavy user of social networks, in the US have an extended network that touches Brazil, especially for people of color and blacks. their social contact primed them for changing to Bluesky. In a sense it was the dry powder.

Now came the election, where Elon Musk took a central role and where more than 80% of black voted against his prefered candidate. It just gave the sparkle inside an implicit network that was already playing with BlueSky.

Such a wrong take. An animated line instantly brings you focus, and remove any guess work, and unease, when analysing a complex system. And in this example , allow you to instatly replay part of the system in your head. Keep working in the direction.

I have a pet theory that words in a language obey to both an etymological logic and a "poetic" logic. Sometimes the two don't coincide and the accepted meaning of the word drift toward the poetic imagery.

I have a project where I take a different approach [0] . I basically extract statements , explicit or implicit , that should be accompanied by a reference to some data but aren't and I let user find the most relevant data for those statements.
