Yup, because you get to be personally responsible for any outcomes just like you would be if you were driving without ai assistance. If you aren’t comfortable building and testing an open source project then it isn’t for you.

Complicated interaction with macOS Sequoia though. I’m on apple silicon and trying to capture on a multimon setup (although only capturing one screen) and the capture freezes painfully often. Going to window capture helps but doesn’t eliminate the problem. Seems to be related to ScreenCaptureKit. I’ve tried a lot to debug it but so far failed.

Been quite a few years ago, but Dell support came to a tiny campground 100 miles from anywhere and swapped out my laptop motherboard within 24 hours of it failing. Sadly, their support is no longer as extraordinary.

I had always read that (perhaps over-hopefully) as referring to the structural incentives of the Chinese economic system not leading to innovation rather than a racist statement that Asians can't innovate. Neither statement seems completely accurate but the former is considerably less offensive.

"lot of deaths over the last few years from fentanyl in pot."
Can you share a case where this has been confirmed? There was some hysteria in Connecticut last year, but my understanding is that this has never actually happened. I'd love to see a pointer to a coroner's report on a case of accidental fentanyl ingestion from laced pot having led to an overdose.
I have seen cases of fentanyl test strips coming up positive, but only with incidental contamination rather than anything in concentrations that are actually hazardous. Fentanyl decomposes at under 300 degrees and pot burns at 450, so it is not actually a viable route to ingestion.

Hmm, as an engineer good toys are huge. It shows respect for my time to buy good equipment. Is it calling them toys you object to? I guess I also phrase things as "let's play with this..." So toys seems a good colloquial way of referring to things.

You can. Although I have long since lost many of the details, I used the Apple II to present subliminal perception data in experiments for a cognitive psychology lab that was an early programming job for me in the 80's. We had to run an oscilloscope on the signal to catch the vblank to time our display onset properly.
