<p>I agree with everything else, but..<p>> Sadly, I also own a lot indirectly through ETFs by virtue of TSLA being in S&P 500.<p>this bit strikes me as a mistake. I did the calculations recently for this, actually, and even if you assumed that TSLA went to zero (which it won't; it's overvalued but its value isn't zero) the loss on S&P would be extremely small (don't remember actual numbers, but the calculation is easy to reproduce).</p>

<p>That's not "genius".<p>Saying "give me money now for something later", making it vague and then not delivering isn't new or genius. It's something which is illegal, and this will be found to be illegal, once there's political will to investigate/prosecute.</p>

<p>Iran wants Democrats, Russia wants Republicans.<p>It's easy to see which one is more successful. Every time you blame something on Russia, people come out of the woods "explaining" why Russia is actually the victim (Russia is ALWAYS the victim, is what I've learned from this people).</p>
