They do ads on the RuneScape Wiki[1]. A couple of their wikis are also official wikis funded by game studios, such as Jagex for the RuneScape Wiki, Riot Games for Leagues, 2xko and Valorant, and Digital Extremes for Warframe.

I mean, at that point isn't it better for the community to just leave the wiki on overwatch.wiki instead of overwatch.?

Re the first question, you have to park at least one wiki on said domain for around a year, during which Google will refuse to show other page other than the main page. That's just not really a realistic option is it.

There's no need to speculate on whether the sitemap is received correctly by Google since Google Search Console tells you how many pages it can discover from the sitemap you submitted.

This isn't 100% correct. He is still in the credits[1] but some splash texts about him were removed[2].

Yes. They consider it a violation of their "forking policy"[1].

Fun(?) fact – Fandom put even more restrictions right after Minecraft Wiki moved[2]. Now it doesn't even allow wikis to put a banner on their main page saying that there's a forking discussion unless they contact Fandom support and get permission.

That is correct. However the jagex funding is not really enough[1] so they added ads. The League wiki seems to be also under this model, but I suppose they got a better deal. The Minecraft Wiki doesn't have any ads at all, and it's just been feeding off by the runescape wikis.

That would be Miraheze [1]. Community funded wiki farm. However it's had some instability such as internal conflict and server issues, but it's better than all the alternatives.
