> People absolutely will not explore, click on things outside of what they have memorized, or even try basic troubleshooting steps out of fear of breaking things.
I agree with this in general but it can be tough for financial/business/order workflows where an irreversible change may be initiated. From the software perspective an audit log or Git-like history would easily mitigate these concerns but they usually don't exist. And "non-technical" users often just want to "know what buttons to click" to do their job.
To the point of the main article don't think I ever had the opportunity of using Windows 2000. Remember jumping from 98 to XP? Not sure about ME/Millennium either and if it's the same or a variant of 2000.

At a previous job an "infinite scroll" experience was tested against many paginated pages and 0.2% is roughly the conversion rate of someone clicking through to the 4th or 5th page of results IIRC. They decided to not go true "infinite scoll" but rather add a "See More" button instead of pagination.
Anyway just interesting data points for what "0.2% conversion" looked like in my experience.

Dude just get a lawyer. There are plenty of places that can connect you to legal assistance and provide hourly rates. LegalZoom is a one place to start.
I agree with sibling post about the law subreddit but not sure how much the advice will differ.
I am also an LLC owner and have needed the same assistance. LLMs are not lawyers and should only be considered advice/research from a non-legal source.

I watched the movie Backrooms last weekend and found it enjoyable. The biggest thing that jumped out to me was how similar it resembled Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time temple/dungeon layouts. Did anyone else have similar thoughts?
There was an early scene where the Backrooms character had to kneel down and crawl into a small knee-high opening leading into another room.
There were multiple scenes where a "grinning sun" wall figure is shown. There were some scenes where the rooms expand "into the wall" in a rotated way. And the perfect cubic cutouts of the floor and ceiling that occasionally lead to another room.
These were all the major things from what I can recall and almost feel like direct "ripoffs" from Ocarina of Time. I felt they were well done and have no intent of trashing the movie. While watching it just felt the director was probably a big Zelda fan.
Curious if anyone has thoughts here or if these are just coincidental stylistic choices.

Perhaps the paddle wheel[0] will interest you, the spinning is used to calculate the velocity of the boat. Probably some other propeller or similar would be more practical - like a kicker motor that's easily lowered over the side. Just spitballing.
I don't think it'd be worth it considering solar options. Even wind generators are not "super efficient" in comparison but I don't have data.
[0] https://www.westmarine.com/bg-h3000-paddlewheel-sensor-w-pla...

I'm glad you made the comment because at the very least I learned a new German word (native English speaker and conversational in Spanish).
It's ironic to search for "alt meaning" and find a tertiary definition of "Pitched in the first octave above the treble staff; high" which would suggest more of the Spanish "alta" root rather than the Germanic root.
Now I'm curious how much origins are shared between Spanish and German.
Perhaps we can all agree English is a goofy language!
