Gonna date myself but, for ~80% of configuration needs good old INI never let me down. Named sections of name value pairs with string and number data types (maybe bools too. do not recall). et voilà!

The answer is yes. They can be disassembled and reassembled in a solved state. That's what I did.

You could search and replace UML with XML, MDA with XSD, and QVT with XSLT and this article would still accurately describe the early 2000's.

Agree. Modern C++, and discussions around it, become more esoteric with every revision. As software engineers we should spend our time understanding the esoterica of the problem domain, not the toolset.

We need to consider that some things are a public good that must be paid for as such, not as merely a commodity. Public broadcasting is the model that works best and achieves the correct balance between public good and market forces.It can be neither entirely one (state controlled media) nor the other (click bait drivel).
