This is flat out wrong. The problem is excessive taxation and government spending beyond its means that lowers everyone's standard of living.

His response sounded kind of gatekeep-y to me. Kind of like an academic with theoretical knowledge, but no practical experience.

Many great musicians never learned proper music theory. Innovation comes from outside, not from inside the establishment.

Pretty much anything is better than systemd.

CoreAudio is far superior to anything Linux has.

WindowServer is better than Wayland.

Backwards compatibility. Apple changes their API every year or so, usually for no good reason.

Linux has a terrible audio subsystem. First you'd have to write CoreAudio for Linux, which would not be easy.
