LM still can not see and understand the desktop app UI on a level that is acceptable for testing. All the advances in coding are from web dev and thanks to the nature of html UIs. Try to develop a desktop app and it’s like working with a legally blind person who can see some part of the screen is they squint in a certain way but surely will miss all minor details.

This is totally absurd because people don’t buy phone based on car integration they have. They buy car integration that works with their phone. And numbers reflect iPhone vs Android market share.

She wouldn’t be able to do any of that without you setting it up first. She would not know anything about deepseek, meaning of a folder with index.html file. Would not know even what to ask ChatGPT, “I need a website”? You make it sound like easy task anyone can do, when you provided 99% of otherwise impossible for them to easily obtain key knowledge needed.

The whole incident was because of 0.2mm offset in a machined part! And the company that made the part ignored the quality compliance process was not fired. I wonder why - did Airbus think it’s their failure not to verify that the subcontractor adhered to procedures?

And I thought he is a smart man. This is so last century thinking. We need to prepare that there will definitely be no jobs for everyone and that will be falling all the time, it’s not a one-time event you should “prepare for”. There’s nothing to prepare, we already have funds and productivity to feed and shelter everyone. UBI is not a privilege, previous generations were slaving 9 to 5 all their lives so we can have it. So the best solution according to the article is to use UDP’s feature of not being sent to any port in particular. In ideal hypothetical it should work, but on any public WIFI, and remote networks would not deliver UDP.

UDP was designed as no-guarantee of delivery. Why would you rely on it for this important feature?

UBI is the inevitable future. We are now living in a time period in history when we wait for government bureaucrats to finally realise that UBI is a right and not a privilege. At this moment more than half of employment can be classified as “bullshit jobs” - inconsequential that would make no difference if they disappeared one day, created to satisfy the requirements of the capitalist economy. We have been productive to feed and shelter everyone for free for a while now, at least 20 years if not more, but the scarcity narrative gets reignited and pushed by politicians who want to distract and blame immigrants or lack of resources for their own incompetence.

Interesting how he works with it, ”do you have access to macOS runner?” , “do you have access to repo?” And finally they will see that the biggest and hardest problem with native development is verification. So the magic word it seems, is “verify pixel by pixel”. But that would limit what you can verify and implement. There should be vision models trained in UI.
