If Obsidian on the desktop has plugins installed, then opening the same vault with the iOS app becomes absurd performance of "wait a minute", "load another vault". And it takes so long I forget what I wanted Obsidian for. I don’t even know at this point if it loads on iOS at all. Because this "loading" is taking forever. And I am using a few top popular plugins that everyone is using. Obsidian's way of working with plugins on iOS defeat the purpose of using Obsidian. My guess is plugin architecture was decided long before the iOS app was developed. But still, absolutely nothing can be done?

It's not the tech industry that is at fault, we are perfectly capable of designing and creating humane products and interfaces, experiences. It's the late-stage capitalism that is like an iron mask that makes you see only a money-making field of view and disfigures our faces and crushes our minds in return.

The difference is that today's tool has a demo website that makes the whole thing self-explanatory. Yours is a repository that speaks "figure it out".

The article describes a case that is a perfect candidate to be automated by LM. You don’t have to have real-world knowledge for that.

Would be interesting to see what involves contributing a real thing that’s not found on the net - a fence, footpath, etc. Or contributing a bus stop.

LM still can not see and understand the desktop app UI on a level that is acceptable for testing. All the advances in coding are from web dev and thanks to the nature of html UIs. Try to develop a desktop app and it’s like working with a legally blind person who can see some part of the screen is they squint in a certain way but surely will miss all minor details.

She wouldn’t be able to do any of that without you setting it up first. She would not know anything about deepseek, meaning of a folder with index.html file. Would not know even what to ask ChatGPT, “I need a website”? You make it sound like easy task anyone can do, when you provided 99% of otherwise impossible for them to easily obtain key knowledge needed.

The whole incident was because of 0.2mm offset in a machined part! And the company that made the part ignored the quality compliance process was not fired. I wonder why - did Airbus think it’s their failure not to verify that the subcontractor adhered to procedures?

And I thought he is a smart man. This is so last century thinking. We need to prepare that there will definitely be no jobs for everyone and that will be falling all the time, it’s not a one-time event you should “prepare for”. There’s nothing to prepare, we already have funds and productivity to feed and shelter everyone. UBI is not a privilege, previous generations were slaving 9 to 5 all their lives so we can have it.
