How does this safe guards against having the extension under a company and selling that company off. Still the same entity, different owners, different "incentives".

Would this mean that a person that makes 50k/y most pay 20% of their income while a billion$ company still pays 10k? I don't think this helps with wealth inequality.

It's not even about graphics it's about load time on HDD. Which turns out didn't benefit all that much. I can see customers being much more annoyed at a longer load time than a big install size as this has become pretty common.

Canada never includes taxes either so that's an extra 10% to 15% for most provinces.

I feel not being understood when pronunciation is off is more of a France french issue. You will be understood eitherway in Canada (given you speak with french Canadians). But I sometime have difficulty being understood by frenchmans, less so with other french speaking cultures

This is already one of the proposed solutions. Although you would have to state a specific date as not to mislead consumers. I would then have to decide if paying 80$ for a game I won't be able to play in the next 5 years is worth it.

This might happen to so extent but a big part of the market is single player games, so those companies would also lose a large portion of their profit

Not only is that not true at all. There are many other jobs you can land other than performing with a formal music degree. Of course with the right experience you might get away with not getting that formal education but you open so many doors by going through school and getting the "useless" piece of paper.

I don't see how ruining the life of a teenager for having something that is believed to be dangerous through fear mongering but isn't does anything good to society. There are so many things he could get legally to make actual bombs to kill people.

The point is reducing waste without changing customer habits. People could also eat the brown banana but that's beside the point.

But the hardware availability and affordability gives them the opportunity to learn and experiment if they want to. Even tech-savvy people couldn't do that a decade or 2 ago. Not on a budget.

I try not to use AI when learning a new language. I don't want to rely on premade answers to my problem. I prefer using the language's documentation and some light SO searching so I can figure it out on my own. AI is the last resort for me when learning something new.

How would you deal with digital versions now? Publishers will just leave all the PC versions on steam and call it a day. Those will never expire as long as the publisher remains in business.
