I see it as exactly the opposite - culture, ethics, behavior differences etc are downstream of financial inequality. When people are financially insecure it becomes much harder to tolerate disagreement, and much easier to blame [insert whatever populist notion of enemy]. I think it would be easier to engage with people with opposing ideas, not seeing them as an existential threat, if you are not worried about housing, income or health insurance.

Cultural polarization is a deflection mechanism (both in the subconscious psychological sense as well as a politcal/propaganda technique) meant to mask the real deeper structural inequalities. It's the lie we tell ourselves and the powers that be tell us to prevent to change the direction of the "wealth redistribution" we've been witnessing for 20+ years.

So repubblicans have not been about small government for a long time and Trump is not even a pure-blood repubblican so it was to be expected that he would do the thing that repubblicans have not been about for a long time...what in the circular reasoning? Oh and please name one repubblican president who successfully reduced spending or "made government smaller"

that's the only thing that comes up on google when searching "cultural marxism wiki". I was making a point with those links, specifically that cultural marxism is a bit of a bs term that doesn't really mean anything. I'm not looking for a debate.

Hmm ok, I went down a youtube rabbit hole a while ago where people who experienced delirium tremens talked about it. But the sources online do seem to associate it more to benadryl and sleep deprivation, not sure if it's because extreme alcohol deprivation is less studied nowadays (I don't think any modern clinical study would allow someone to go cold turkey and possibly die just to confirm the existence of a hat man, but apparently these types of studies were done at the beginning of the last century)

There is a similar effect related to Delirium Tremens, caused by extreme alcohol withdrawal. Apparently people across cultures report seeing the same "Hat Man" in their peripheral vision, who disappears when looked at directly, but everyone seems to report the same ominous feeling about him. Also there are reports of people seeing a bunch of spiders everywhere, when going through alcohol withdrawal.

Do you mean the replacing of the old Khamenei with a younger, more vigorous and extreme Khamenei? Utterly destroying the world economy (as well as the environment, but who cares about that) for what gain specifically? Or do you mean decimating the US allies in Europe and the West?
