I've never had an issue with it crashing on Linux, but I've had this bug for months that causes the scrollbar to jump around. Usually it jumps up 10-20px every couple of seconds. I've tried removing all plugins, refreshing, changing mice, etc. until I had to switch to Brave.
Anyone else come across this issue? I'm using Solus.

I never remember where the "recently listened to" section is. Seems like an easy thing to get right.
Still, I prefer Apple Music's album-focused library to Spotify's playlist-focused approach.

For me, the most common scenario in which I'd want TouchID is when I have my phone resting flat on my desk. Depending on which phone case you may or may not have on your phone, the power button might be conveniently accessible. I'd prefer a version that didn't require me to lift my phone up off the desk in order to unlock it.

Google routinely implements, fails to implement, and fails to deprecate features that align with their company goals (i.e. namely collecting lots of data). AMP, Browser Extension Manifest v3, cookie privacy features, ad-blocking features, file formats, and many more that most people have never heard of.
Happens all the time. Without Webkit and Gecko, the web would simply be "whatever Google wants to do". Having multiple browser implementations helps balance out whatever Google's agenda is at any given time.

Even though I'm fully aware that I have more horizontal screen relestate than vertical, I never remember to use the sidebar.
I've wanted to use tab groups for a while, but it never stuck because of the UI. I'm hoping this helps, and I love that they offer a sidebar layout, too.

From what I understand, they also promised a bunch of features that were never implemented. Maybe they're still to come, but it sounds like they are months away from fixing all the bugs, let alone implementing better AI and other things players complained about.
I bet it would have been met with less backlash if they delayed only the PS4/Xbox S versions. Players must expect some Day 0 bugs from games this large.

I have an iPad that doesn't have a lightning port.
I have a battery pack that doesn't charge with a lightning port, and can charge my phone without a lighting port (wireless).
When I'm traveling light, I don't need a lightning port for anything.
When I'm at my office, I can top off my headphones/iPad/etc off with the same cable I use to connect my laptop to my screen. I never have to worry about bringing an extra cable with me to work.
---
It's just too bad, that's all. Apple seemed like they were ready to phase out the lightning port in favor of USB-C and wireless charging. They've done such a great job with all their other audio accessories that a lot of tech-minded people like myself were looking forward to these.

Same reason they put the charging port for their mouse on the underside. It's a wireless device, and for some reason, they think that if it supports a wired mode, it won't be as special (or whatever their idiotic reasoning is).
And, why use the lightning port?! Aside from the price, choosing to not use USB-C for a charging port killed it for me. I like being able to charge all my devices off one power brick, and I'm not spending $600 on headphones if I need a stupid lightning port for the next 6+ years.

I'm looking for some career advice, and perspective. If HN isn't the right place for this, I'd appreciate any suggestions on where to look.
Recently, I had an interview where a tech lead condescendingly commented on my "lack of web app experience", which upped my anxiety around feeling stuck. I'm currently a web developer for a small agency, building marketing websites for clients. I have eight years of experience building websites and web apps for small companies and startups.
While I enjoy web development, I really want to shift to product management.
I've boiled down my available paths to the following:
1. Focus on learning algorithms for interviews, get an engineering job at a larger software company, and hopefully find an opportunity to shift into a PM role. The increase in remote positions has made this more possible recently, but I'm not convinced I'd get the right opportunities to shift to PM.
2. Apply for PM roles at a generic tech consulting company. It could mean soulless projects at a nameless subsidiary for a few years.
3. Find a startup that needs an engineering lead who can also PM. This worked for me in the past, but there are fewer companies these days that need that sort of help.
4. Start my own thing. Hoping this results in a company that can pay me a salary, or at least the experience I can write about to get a job at a different company.
My main concern right now is that the most viable paths might not result in the right opportunities to switch, and I'll feel just as stuck in two years as I do now.
Anyway, I guess my question is, what are the best ways for an engineer to switch towards product management, given their current role doesn't (and won't) offer any opportunity for relevant experience?

They're not the underdog anymore, they're very profitable, they make lukewarm claims for headlines that fall apart under scrutiny (the kind of scrutiny that tech geeks are all about), and in recent history have acted pretty badly towards developers.
All that said, after building a Linux machine for development and general client work, I consider Macs the best option out there. Everything from being able to copy 2FA codes from my phone and pasting on my computer, to colored tags and smart folders in Finder make my work easier. Also, Bluetooth is just a breeze under macOS.
