Reminds me of the poem / song “All I wanna do”
"All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die"
Says the man next to me out of nowhere
It's apropos of nothing, he says his name is William
I'm sure he's Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy
And he's plain ugly to me
And I wonder if he's ever had a day of fun in his whole life
We are drinking beer at noon on Tuesday
In a bar that faces a giant car wash
The good people of the world
Are washing their cars on their lunch break
Hosing and scrubbing as best they can in skirts in suits

I have a question about markdown on MacBook Pro. You know the preview feature - I think it’s called quick quicklook - how can I get that to work for markdown? I’ve associated .md files to always open with my IDE, but they still don’t render with the preview which is a mild annoyance. In my IDE i do use an extension to render the Md so that could be why and I could understand why recursive invocation may not be exposed at or available to the preview extension level. But any suggestions?

I love this - watching the hurricanes game right now! Autorefresh would be nice and then it looks like a small bug in the faceoff percentage as they both say 100% which shouldn't be possible at any point in the game. Also would be sick to be able to enter the team and roster detail page from within the game detail page. But I love this so much and appreciate you for building it :D
edit the face off percentage is still a little off it's updated to show this 87% - 67%. Also followed you on twitter and github.

Driving and living in Atlanta after living in Charleston and Raleigh felt like transitioning from a modern cooperative society to an island of cannibals. The amount of aggression needed to change lanes largely regardless of attempts to signal good faith and politeness is baffling. Driving is a fascinating ritual with vastly differing norms across regions. It would be interesting to learn if anthropologists have studied this

I like Atlanta’s solution even better: after becoming egregious enough sloppily bolt down a much too tall metal plate over the pothole and those that have proliferated nearby. Cross fingers and hope they won’t coalesce as a sink hole and as with everything else: “Go Dawgs”

We’re moving away from hardware and into software and longevity in this discussion but wrt “apple leads the industry in supporting older devices with software updates” i would point out that Red Hat is probably more of a beacon / industry leader here as the main promise of RHEL is 10 years of support and updates. But again we don’t ship hardware so I see the narrower sense that you’re making but still would like to push back on the idea that giant companies cannot continue to keep complicated legacy code bases secure and functional about 2x longer in most cases than what Apple has done
