The US isn’t the only player in the game. In fact, it may not even be the main player in a couple of years. There are people (mainly China) that will do this irrespective of whatever Luddite crap you pull right now. This is happening whether you like it or not. If everyone loses their job, there is going to be something that works itself out. This is not a reason to shit the bed and play dead weight on technological progress.

I’m all for no concentration of power but not at the expense of technological progress.

Are you seeing the physical AI that has just begun to explode over the last few months? Robots can now literally reliably put your clothes into a washing machine, start it, move them to the dryer, pull them out and fold and stack all of them. They can almost reliably rinse and put your dishes into the dishwasher, start it, then pull them out and put them away into your cabinets. This is all paradigm shifting stuff, and I’ll resist any attempt to stall progress in that space so some people can have a job for a few more months.

Sounds like wishful thinking. Most Americans I know are furiously using LLMs in every aspect of their lives, tradesmen included.

What I’ve seen is coding is usually done with US frontier models and anything that is part of a feature on an app and runs at scale on the API is a Chinese model because they are dirt cheap.

These are not particularly important. The concerns are autism and ADHD.

Also don’t equate that MAHA crap with disagreement on this topic. I’m as anti MAGA as it gets but this study doesn’t do anything to assuage people’s primary concerns about this.

I’ve always had an aversion to people that make neat notes. Anecdotally my experience in high school was that people that made clean notes and spent a lot of time on them always sucked at actual academics- like doing well on tests and intuitive understanding.

Hopefully you have a limit order in place. You can also do more complicated hedges with options which might cost a little bit more depending on the spread but you can guarantee your hedges.

With a Jupiter/solar oberth boost we can at best do around 20 AU per year, so best case scenario it would take atleast 25 years to get there, which honestly isn’t bad at all. For comparison voyager does around 3.6 AU/year.

Why are so many flights out of Albuquerque NM, it’s more than all the flights out of Texas combined. It also seems like places like Guatemala and Honduras get more than one flight per day.
