I like to cook, and so does my SO. Even if that weren't the case, we have friends over regularly.

I don't think I'd be ok with inviting over guests and shoving bottles of soylent in front of them as a "meal".

The guy does have a point, yet is bring downvoted into oblivion.

Government can play a role in the improvement in the everyday life of it's citizens. As an example, I pay 25 euros/month for 200mbps fibre internet thanks to my government's antitrust laws.

How are you doing on this front, Americans?

No to mention the SQLS execution planner will beat the pants off both MySQL's and Postgres' when it comes to non-trivial queries.

Don't know how it compares to Oracle as I've never used it.

Keep in mind that SQL Server has had a role in driving certain windows features which I'm not sure exist natively in the Linux kernel.

IIRC fibers were added to the NT kernel specifically for SQLS.

Precisely. It will also depend on how well you've grown to know and become friends with the people in question.

Myself and my close friends curse, insult and tease each other in a manner that we find entertaining; however if I had this same type of interaction with someone I've only known for a couple of months it would be insulting and I'd avoid that person.

Opening the article with "as a woman and minority" in tech is exactly playing the victim card right up front. It has no weight on whether the supposed actions of her managers and colleagues were wrong, because they'd be wrong no matter who they did this to.

And by your standards even the OP is "just an anecdote". We have no proof whatsoever that she was in fact mistreated.
