Yes, he has financial incentives. That doesn't automatically make what he says false or dishonest.

I agree, and I'm actually pro Opus 5 exactly for this reason. In my opinion, agents talking to agents is the future, and humans will move to a higher abstraction layer. So it's the right move to make for Anthropic.

Many of the complaints that people are having with Opus 5 are actually acknowledged and explained on opus's 5 prompting guides (https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/build-with-claude/prompt...)

It also seems naive that Anthropic, with some of the smartest people on the planet working on AI, would not know about this.

My dad has it really bad because he worked in a nightclub in his twenties. He would say it's like a jumbojet idling its engines nearby, all the time. It's thanks to him that I started taking ear protection seriously.

Elevators drive me crazy. One of the worst sins I've seen is an elevator that says, “Sorry to keep you waiting,” while continuing to hold the doors open for the entire sentence. Just be quiet and close the doors already.

Prices per token are dropping roughly 10x per year for the same quality of model. Bills are going up because AI agents use way more tokens per task, not because the models cost more. The losses come from training new models and buying hardware, not from selling tokens too cheap (Anthropic's inference margins are estimated somewhere in the 60–80% range).
