Linux is pretty bad at handling out of memory. In my old thinkpad T14 with Mint everything came to a halt when webpack gobbled up my 16GB of ram. Couldnt even move the cursor, stuff just got stuck hard

I keep jearing this but after years of using MacOS Is still hate the windowing behavior. There is already a way for windowless apps to run - its in the top right corner of my menu bar. Why not use this if you _really_ need windowless apps to run in the background? Also dont get me started on window switching...

It only supports a subset of extensions, but I am using uBlock Origin (full version, although _lite_ is also available), Sponsorblock and Dark Reader for example.

I just unlocked the bootloader on my Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 today (which was a nightmare to do btw.). Why did I unlock it? The device has nice hardware, but is stuck with Android 13 and does not get any security updates either, so flashing a custom ROM is my only chance of having an up-to-date device.
Next step will be to try PostmarketOS and see how that goes

The big difference for me is that there is no way to quickly jump between multiple windows of the same application. I often have multiple different projects open in vscode and would love a way to switch between them without having to right-click and selecting one from the list. All I want is something like the windows taskbar with auto-grouping disabled.

I just use an old macbook air with a bluetooth keyboard that also has a touchpad. The thing is in sleep mode when not needed, so it wakes up fast and does not need a lot of energy. With that setup I can access whatever media I want, have a solid adblocker and a browser with a real keyboard.
