That's an odd thing to say. She is 24 years old and has super impressive academic credentials. She raised almost 70 million which is a huge amount for any startup. The professor probably wants a change in his life and wants to work on something more exciting.

This is how research works. Someone, somewhere, someday will see this study and do just that. Or it could be the next step for the researchers at UC Davis who published this.

I'm building a dating app for what I think is an untapped market. I'm just worried the apple store is going to reject it. I read back in 2020 they aren't accepting more dating apps but I've also seen a number of new ones pop up.

I feel like most engineers on hackernews/reddit have been underestimating AI tech. People always say it sucks and it gets starts hallucinating nonexistent libraries and what not but we are still in the early phase of this technology. And that how it could never replace them as AI will make current engineers more efficient.

I've been scared of AI since seeing chatgbt a couple of years ago. I feel like it's only a matter of time until a dev can feed an AI machine it's entire code base and business requirements. And then a separate AI could carry out the manual/integration testing tasks. AI could potentially cut down the number of devs required to maintain a webapp or ios app after it's built.

I feel triggered by this post especially because I've made it a career writing automation code haha.

I remember that. I used to walk to school and would jump be looking down the entire time to avoid stepping on worms. Now I hardly see them.

https://github.com/ahussain1/medicine-app I started this in April and never finished it. I wanted to start a WebMD for people in Bangladesh as people there don't speak English. It's a country of 180m and there's more people throughout the world. I think it has potential but I need help with app development :L

I've one too and shelled out almost 3k for it. Now I really regret it cause everyone's saying the Air's are better than the old pros. Mine also runs hot all the time from basic use but it helps that I use external keyboard and trackpad for it.

Sometimes looking for deals on craigslist. Every now and then you will see someone that doesn't know the value of what they're selling. In 2016, I was able to find a 15" MBP for only $750. The guy listed as a cracked laptop when it was a small 3 inch scratch near the corner of the screen, so no one reached out to him. It's hard to notice when the laptop is on even when you're looking at it. Probably the best purchase I ever made.

I've been trying to build a medical dictionary app in the Bengali language. I want to make that knowledge accessible to Bengali speakers that don't speak English. Hard part has been finding someone to translate drug information from English to Bengali.

My gf in Colombia said that healthcare workers are being told by certain groups not to go to the hospital or they will be killed. They are writing that stuff outside their doors and buildings.

I worked with a blind dev and his screen reader is incomprehensible by everyone but him. It had to be at like 5-6x. Guy was a wizard. Sure he had some disadvantages with vision but the guy was wicked fast and would pump out the most code
