No, they're able to detect that the LED light has been covered and will refuse to record. There's users who have taken them apart to try to disable the LED but that's not something most users will do, is likely to break the glasses.

Honest question here: Could someone explain to me how Apple and Safari relate to what Google is doing?

I currently use Adguard as a content blocker for Safari on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Does this mean that Safari will also start restricting access to these ad blockers?

If you happen to use Reddit in a browser, Safari, then check out Protego for Reddit. You can add keyword filters to hide posts based on keywords, such as political terms. Makes browsing Reddit more positive for sure.

Im 34. I've used a permanent standing desk for 5 years, along with monitors at a proper height, an ErgoDox EZ keyboard, and a standing pad.

I havent experienced any issues so far, what issues could this create for me?

I find that if I sit I end up having lower back pain, my legs end up getting tingly after a while, and I just get sleepy if I'm too comfortable.

Do I actually need to force myself to sit? I'm moderately fit/athletic, standing has helped me with back pain and neck pains.

After Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES) became unmaintained, Safari users on macOS lost access to post filtering capabilities. As a developer who switched to Safari, I missed this functionality and decided to build a solution.

What it is: A Safari extension that filters Reddit posts based on keywords and wildcards. It monitors the DOM in real-time and hides posts matching your filters, working on both old and new Reddit interfaces.

Technical implementation: - MutationObserver for DOM monitoring - Batch processing - Client-side filtering with zero external dependencies - Wildcard pattern matching (e.g., "politic*" matches "politics", "political") - JSON-based filter import/export - Local storage for settings persistence

Key architectural decisions: 1. Chose MutationObserver over polling for efficiency 2. Implemented batch processing to handle Reddit's infinite scroll without impacting performance 3. Abstracted DOM selectors to support both Reddit interfaces 4. Used CSS modules for style isolation 5. Kept the codebase minimal and focused on the core filtering functionality

This is a five-foot-long PCIe x4 cable - GPU extensions are four inches. It can feed two 4K displays at 60Hz. It can transfer data faster than an NVMe drive can store it. The fact that this is even physically possible is astounding.
