Benchmarks are so difficult with ai because as soon as one gets popular it enters the dataset so the next iteration of the model is trained on the solution. I’m not sure if there’s any potential work around here or anyone doing interesting work but would love to hear about it if so

I mean 200k/MRR for one company most of these are not pure tech but people in a domain (the 200k one, while I don’t feel comfortable outright stating it is a car buying application you could likely find with a cursory search) who use tech to scale. So I have worked with lawyers, therapists, people from other countries etc to bring apps to that market using their domain/market knowledge as an edge.

Relative to the US it’s not a straightforward answer but China is definitely not rising in the way it was a decade ago and has been outpaced by the us

I have seen and worked with a number of “non technical” people ship apps and automations over the last year that are making real money so it’s past the point where you can be bearish. Sure these people are probably just a class in themselves and not “the average person” but they never would have done this if they had to write code by hand

I think in America at least the problem is most of these seem to be scams calls not legitimate. So they are criminals who don’t really care about the law

If you’re doing real work you will hit limits quickly on anthropic and codex paid tiers

You can do this but you still need a harness. I like open code because I can use literally any model through it and can connect directly to the provider (although I use open router)
