Not sure myself, it seems like some of the founders were kicked out in 2025 for "misuse of funds" according to the auditor of TDF / or the Foundation authorities?

Also found this in the annual report, sounds quite serious:

I find searching chatgpt.com and asking for sources, then visiting them, works much better than Google to find niche topics

I am going to finish such a project soon myself, including some old Video8 tapes! Sounds like you're on macOS, Any reason you didn't use iMovie for the capture itself?

The Video8 tapes have already been digitalized via a Digital8 camcorder, but apparently you can get even better quality out of old analog tapes with the vhsdecode project. If it's true that there's 58k users in the dump, that would mean former employees are in the dump

I assume that means McKinsey would need to disclose it, or at least alert the former employees of the breach?

The macOS version of Office has finally gotten native support for alt+shortcuts, would have been nice if LibreOffice had exploited that neglect by Microsoft :(

You can get them with different voltage drop-off curves

E.g., this battery is 1.5V for ~70% of the capacity, before it gradually reduce to 1.0 V

As my needs are quite simple, I currently just use VLC with a SMB share. Works quite well, VLC is able to play standard .mkvs just fine! http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-appletv.html

That's because the car lobby only cared about electric vehicle tariffs, the petrol cars from China are tax free

(There's also anti-dumping tariffs on electric bikes from China, I wonder if it's the same lobby...)

Two years back the S-bahn ticket machines at the aiport only supported chip+pin, not contactless. Had to open my banking app to figure out my pin code, as I wanted to use my corporate Amex

If you just want to add POI data, then Every Door is a good choice that also works on iOS

CoMaps would be a good map app, and it will also display when POIs and opening hours were last confirmed (the only OSM app to do so AFAIK)

Just discovered this, but there's now native support for the Ribbon alt-shortcuts as on Windows!

You can finally use a MacBook Pro in a professional environment that heavily use Excel, like consulting, without downsides.
