Bifurcation occurs at the Great Lakes, where the Mississippi flows into the gulf and the St. Lawrence empties into the Atlantic. This forms the “great loop”, a circumnavigation course known by many power boaters . This makes about half of the United States and island by your definitions.

My what a boring media landscape it would be if all characters were goodie little “Mary Poppins” types.

Just because a minority wrongly take inspiration from an ill behaved character is no reason to temper a fictional character actions. Did Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid lead to an increase in bank and train robberies?

'79 Lincoln TownCar did that with a single photocell, worked about 80% of the time. The tech is there and it's not expensive and I'd say could easily be improved with multiple low cost sensors.

go watch about two years worth of 'Dirty Jobs' and you'll find a bunch of happy blue collar workers who fit what you describe. Possibly more of them register happier than white collars.

purchased a c-store. loosing money, working my ass off. weather is a problem, landlord isn't fixing equipment fast enough (latest is our UPC scanner has been down since Christmas, every day I hear, 'it's been ordered' Well, yea? what's the tracking #) I'm rather stuck and short on capitol. It's tied up in Real Estate which, listing agent hasn't shown the property once in 4+ months. It's going to hell. :-( I fucked up. Nobody will hire an old geek. Not sure what's next.

I'd be happy with a wordpress plugin that rendered static pages. 95% of client sites I've ever done have little to no reason to be dynamic. I know there are valid reasons for a dynamic site however IMHO those are rare.

I love mine and get comments all the time about how cool or smart it is.

I carry Discover, MC (as backup) a bank debit for Mom's care, business debit, DL, Work ID card, medical, dental, and a couple paper cards like voter registration. No vendor loyalty cards, I give 'em my phone number and if that's not good enough, they can't track my purchases. Business should recognize ME when I walk in. Not the other way around.
