I've built an AI dictation tool (like many others), but this time I have taken the time to benchmark all of the 34 models that we provide, so users can actually make a qualified choice on what model should be the daily driver.

The best is that it's open source, so if you think we can improve something, please come and help out.

Hi, I built a free, local-first, open-source Whisper Flow clone that can dictate to any application. Right now it's only for macOS because that's the only computer I have tested and built it on but I think it has potential to be used on a lot of devices.

This is really nice. I will bookmark this project! One small thing is that the first letter I type gets deleted on the https://www.opennutrition.app/search page if I type fast. Like pancakes.

It would be cool to have the ability to change the shape. Let us say into a circle, and maybe the ability add more fields than 2x2.

Show HN: 30-day Slack AI trail ran out

After my 30-day trial on Slack AI ran out I decided to build my own version: Catch Up.

I really enjoyed the ability to make summaries of channels to catch up on the latest activities. The reason for building my own was because of Slacks AI pricing being so expensive.

If your trial also ended you could check out Catch Up and get a new 30-day trial.

Show HN: 5am for 30 days resulted in my first startup

I am Emil and I woke up at 5am for 30 days to build a startup.

I made a boilerplate project that allows me to create new startups faster in the future. It is build using nextjs as the fronted and nodejs + express as the backend.

The idea originates from Marc Lou but takes a different approach and is built from scratch using my own tech stack.
