I thought for a minute that they had built agent support for all terminals, which would render obsolete https://terminai.app which I just released.
Luckily for me, this is on the other end of the spectrum. Maybe there would even be a use case for running herdr as the AI CLI inside of terminai.

I built an open source terminal app that transparently wraps your shell so you can have access to AI whenever you need it, while it stays completely out of your way the rest of the time.
Bring your own AI agent (Claude and Codex are supported out of the box) with auto-configured MCP access to the contents of your terminal and scrollback and the ability to suggest input that you can approve passing to your shell as if you had typed it yourself.
The hardest part technically was getting it to be transparent - it needs to push lines into the host terminal's native scrollback while also being able to use full frame-rendered TUI when you activate the AI overlay. That and event handling were the two parts that Claude couldn't get right, leading me to implement key parts of them by hand.
It's still alpha quality but I'm using it as my daily driver in iTerm2 and Terminal.app on Mac and Yakuake/Konsole on Linux. Windows is not supported as of yet.

The concept sounds interesting but the execution seems lacking. I couldn't complete my profile because of spurious "check your inputs for errors" messages when I tried to click save on the very first section. Reloading the page several times didn't help though eventually a hard reload did. The project section silently lost an entry when I clicked save, presumably because I entered a year without a month. In the Java quiz, a question about generics failed to properly escape the angle brackets, making three of the four choices indistinguishable without reading the DOM. Question quality was quite variable.

That screenshot looks on the one hand very useful and on the other hand somewhat user-hostile since you have to build your own mental mapping from the architectural-style floor plan to the rooms in your house without any hints - I can imagine it being much easier to get used to or share with guests if there were sufficient icons or furniture shown in each room to make it obvious which room it is and which direction it's facing without having to consider the measurements and position relative to the other rooms.

It's disingenuous to proclaim that this is the only meaning - every person and culture that uses rings in this way applies their own meaning to it.
That said, when I was deciding whether or not I, as a male, wanted a wedding ring, this was exactly the reason that convinced me. I got married much younger than average and liked the idea of being visible "'off the market' and belongs to someone else."

This is totally irrelevant to the discussion here - you're referring [in a rather toxic way] to ultra-Orthodoxy. My experience has been that ultra-Orthodox Jews are far less interested in and aware of the "thousand edge cases" since they prefer to stay far away from the proverbial 'edge'.

1. Contexts in which a Shabbos goy is a permitted solution are quite restricted - it's not a "get out of Shabbos free" card.
2. A Shabbos goy, being human, has agency, while a device does not have agency, leaving the person using the device with responsibility for making the device do something.
Such a company is not entirely unimaginable given sufficiently roundabout sensing mechanisms. It could be especially useful in Israel due to the majority of the population being Jewish and with many neighborhoods and towns nearing 100% Jewish residents. Mostly, though, religious Jews in Israel are just used to not having a Shabbos goy as an option. That said, the one time I found myself really stuck in a bind where a Shabbos goy was the only reasonable solution, I was fortunate enough to see a non-Jewish taxi driver pull over within minutes of going outside to look for one.

It may be illegal to sell locally but completely legal to import for personal use (e.g. because Pine64 isn't conducting business in your country at all, they have no obligation to comply with local regulations, only you, the importer of record, have those obligations and you probably aren't required to provide yourself with a warranty).

A number of years ago, I got frustrated with trying to keep service for 30 in a regular cutlery organizer. It took up a ton of space in the drawer but pieces kept spilling out of their bins and getting stuck. After many hours of tedious design work, I placed an order for a 3D-printed cutlery organizer that would perfectly stack forks and spoons. It was a huge success - it takes up a fraction of the space and is much easier to use, both when unloading the dishwasher and when setting the table. Now, I'm trying out offering it as a product for sale. If you're interested, you can check out https://cutlery.ninja - even if you're only slightly curious, I'd love to get your feedback.

Neat. How long has that been around? I tried NixOS in mid-2016. I don't recall what package I was trying to use at the time (likely PlatformIO/Arduino or Rust ecosystems), but the only advice I remember finding was to run some utility to rewrite the paths embedded in the binary.

I tried NixOS out for a while on my laptop. I loved the idea of an immutable system with all the config in one place. The implementation, though, was really a terrible user experience. I got past the weird config language, made a few contributions to Nixpkgs to get the packages I wanted, etc. The deal-breaker for me was the inability to run third-party binaries due to the departure from standard directory structure. After all the frustrations with NixOS, I was motivated to go to the opposite extreme so I could stop spending time maintaining my system and focus instead on the tasks that I wanted to use my system for. I've been [mostly] happily running Ubuntu LTS releases ever since.

Shrug. This isn't an open source ESP8266 - it's an ESP8266 soldered onto an open source PCB. It doesn't have any wireless certifications so it's really only good for DIY unless you're planning to invest in getting the certifications, at which point you might as well work with the ESP8266 directly.
