Maybe its just me but I enjoy learning how all these systems work. Vibe Coding and LLMs basically take that away from me, so I dont think ill ever be as hyped for AI as other coders

How about paid internships as a way to filter candidates? As in, hire a candidate for a small period of time, like 2 weeks or something, and have them work on a real task with a full-time employee and use their performance on that to decide whether or not to hire.
I realize it's not easy for smaller companies to do, but I think it's the single best way to see if someone's fit for a job

Could this be the reason why iPads haven't had a calculator app until recently?
Because it's such a difficult problem to solve that it required elite coders and Masters/PhD level knowledge to even make an attempt?
(Apple Finally Plans To Release a Calculator App for iPad Later This Year)[https://www.macrumors.com/2024/04/23/calculator-app-for-ipad...]

I've believed for a while now that GPUs are eventually going to get so big they'd need to be external to satisfy power and cooling requirements, and this is just more proof of that IMO.
There's a meme image somewhere out there of a GPU crudely photoshopped to look like a split-type AC condenser unit, i.e the kind you mount outside your house. It's pretty much how I picture GPUs will end up if things keep going the way they are.

There are a lot of features here I think even experts would find valuable - for example, I wouldn't mind having the step-through expression evaluator, the debugger, and even the variable panel on hand.
